Grief is an inevitable part of life, but coping with the loss of someone or something you love is undoubtedly one of life’s biggest challenges. You may associate grieving with the death of a loved one, but any loss can cause grief. From the loss of a relationship to the loss of a cherished dream to the loss of a beloved pet to caring for a loved one through a serious illness, the grieving process is the only way to heal.
Whatever the cause of your grief, there are healthy ways to cope with the pain that, in time, can ease your sadness and help you come to terms with your loss, find new meaning, and eventually move on with your life.
A loss of any kind means a change in reality. Not only can one become overwhelmed with the heavy emotions associated with grief, accepting change can complicate the process.
During Navigating Grief I’ll share healthy techniques that can aid your healing process through your grief. There’s no time limit on the feelings of grief, but there are coping mechanisms. And there’s no rule against finding times of joy while in the process of grieving.
